How to Get the Waterwheel Weapon Treasure (Grenade Launcher)

Waterwheel Weapon Overview

The Waterwheel Weapon is a Treasure locked in the Waterwheel House as you enter the south gate to Moreau's Reservoir. This weapon is a break-action grenade launcher and will come in handy in the fights to come.

How to Get the Waterwheel Weapon

Head to Moreau's Reservoir

After getting the Four-Winged Unborn Key, open the gate to Moreau's Reservoir.

Varcolac: A Giant Werewolf

As soon as you enter the area beyond the gates, a large werewolf-like creature known as a Varcolac will tear into you. Don't worry, this takes place in a cutscene and you will not take any damage here. The scene will lead you inside a nearby house where you can safely shoot the monster from the doorway.

Kill the Varcolac

Lure the Varcolac into doorways where it will try to claw its way in. It can't enter buildings, so you are safe. Use this opportunity to pump lead into the beast and take it down.

Get the Waterwheel Weapon

Use the Iron Insignia Key to open the Waterwheel House. Inside you will find the GM 79, AKA the Waterwheel Weapon.

Waterwheel Weapon Enemy Guide

Varcolacs are not like typical Lycan encounters. They are far more aggressive, quick, and deadly. Killing this beast will require hit-and-run tactics to take it out safely. Shoot it from doorways, wait until it backs off, then rinse and repeat.
