Rely on Dodge Counters

Rely on Dodge Counters

The first half of fighting Isolde is pretty straightforward. Her attacks, though quick, are predictable and can easily be dodged (or parried if party members are present). Orphie and Magus's block and counter mechanic will prove useful here.

Furthermore, Isolde is susceptible to interruption, so should a Dodge Counter hit, her attacks will immediately be cut off. Be sure to rely on Dodge Counters, and Orphie and Magus' counter skill to bring this half to a swift end.

How to Do Dodge Counters

Increased Aggression at 50% HP

Isolde Uses a Miasmic Shield

Upon reducing her HP to 50%, Isolde will erect a Miasmic Shield. During this state, she will be far more resistant to interruption, and her attack strings will be quicker and harder to predict. Thankfully, none of her attacks accumulate Miasma.

To get through this, you can rely on Dodge Counters again, but lean more towards relying on Orphie and Magus' block-and-counter skill to deal your own bouts of DMG and disable the shield quickly.
