| Step 1: Stun an enemy using a different character (preferably not the DPS). Step 2: Switch to your target Agent (DPS) to do a Chain Attack. Step 3: Cancel Chain Attack. Step 4: Switch to a different character (not the DPS). Step 5: Do a Heavy Attack to reinitiate a Chain Attack. Step 6: Switch back to the target Agent to have them do their Chain Attack again. |
To do a Double Chain Attack, you'll need Heavy Attacks to initiate Chain Attacks. Upon stunning an enemy, preferrably by using an Agent that's not your DPS, have your target Agent (your DPS) do their Chain Attack.
Afterwards, cancel the Chain Attack and switch to a different Agent. Using that Agent, do a Heavy Attack to reinitiate the Chain Attack. Then, reselect your DPS to have them do another Chain Attack.
Since Normal and Elite enemies only allow for a maximum of 1 and 2 Chain Attacks, respectively, a Double Chain Attack is only possible against Bosses that allow 3 to 4 Chain Attacks, including your Bangboo.
Against Elite enemies like the ones in the VR Training, upon cancelling the Chain Attack, the Daze meter will be grayed out and no Chain Attack will be possible afterwards.

One tip in making Double Chain Attacks easier is by using characters that enable Quick Assists such as Astra, though this is purely optional. Most Quick Assists are considered Heavy Attacks with a few exceptions.
Evelyn's Quick Assist is not considered a Heavy Attack as it does not initiate Aftershocks. Therefore, it's also highly unlikely that it could initiate Chain Attacks, so it would still be wise to get to know your characters better.

A Double Chain Attack is when a single character does two Chain Attacks. To do this, one must cancel a Chain Attack and reinitiate it using a different character.
