How to Unlock Spirit of Fishing Quest
Spirit of Fishing is a Phase 2 Port Anecdotes quest that can only be unlocked after completing the Truth Beneath the Water Event Main Story!

Complete All Phase 2 Anecdotes
To fully unlock Spirit of Fishing, Proxies must first complete all of the other Phase 2 Anecdotes. Once complete, the side quest will become available at Port Elpis's Coastal Fishing Spot.

Spirit of Fishing is one of the Port Anecdotes in the Elpis Ultimate Angler Championship event. In this quest, Lighter will ask for your aid in helping a fisherman named Matthew.

Spirit of Fishing Quest Walkthrough
Speak to Rien and Kein
Rien and Kein can be found just by the Coastal Fishing Spot in Port Elpis. Go speak to them and listen to their dilemma about not being able to catch any fish. They will ask you to check out the docks, so agree to do so.
Speak to Lucky
Speak to the little boy named Lucky by the Bridge Fishing Spot to find out why Kein and Rien aren't catching anything because he has fished their spot out.
Lucky has been fishing with his father's rod and has been catching fish without a bait on the hook. Kein and Rien will ask you to try it yourself, and the fishing will commence.
Attempt to Catch 2 Fishes
As the fishing commences, attempt to catch 2 fishes. However, you are bound to catch Aluminum Cans in this quest, so don't worry about it too much.
Afterward, a final cutscene with Kein, Rien, and Lucky will occur, and the quest will be completed!
