Wish You a Song can be unlocked by completing the Pale Wasteland main story commission of the Into That Pale Wasteland event.
Succeeding quests to Wish You a Song can also be unlocked by completing Cutting Through Wrong Paths and Into the End.
Pale Wasteland Quest Walkthrough
Wish You a Song is a Section 6 Operation quest in the Into That Pale Wasteland event.
In this quest, Proxies will be commissioned by Soukaku to help in taking care of the children evacuees at the Cocytus Outpost.

Upon arriving at Cocytus Outpost, approach and speak to Soukaku to get a gist of the situation about the children evacuees. After speaking with her, Yanagi will pull you aside and give you leads on where to start.

| 1 | Go up the ramp behind Yanagi and eliminate the first wave of enemies in the clearing. |
| 2 | Grab the Lost Supply Box ahead, then turn left and grab the Black Box in the cubby. Speak to Soukaku afterward to report your findings, then proceed to the next area. |

| 1 | Eliminate the Farbauti then interact with the device. |
| 2 | Recalibrate the device to proceed. |
| 3 | Proceed to the next area while taking out the enemies in your path. Once you get to a clearing, eliminate the Armored Hati. After the battle, be sure to grab the Irradiant Crystal by the railing. |
| 4 | Grab one Lost Supply Box on the balcony ahead and the other one by the railing beside a tank, then interact with the broken Bangboo. |
| 5 | Defeat the Thanatos. |

| 1 | You will immediately be taken back to the Cocytus outpost. Listen to what Yanagi has to say. |
| 2 | Speak to Soukaku to tell her the story of Miss Caretaker's final moments. This should complete the commission! |
