Rerolling is Not Recommended

How to Reroll

A recurring thing among Hoyoverse games is that it takes a long time to make it to the Gacha banner, called Signal Searches in ZZZ.

Even then, S-class Agents will eventually come, and the A-class Agents that are easier to obtain can do the job just fine.

Focus on Story Missions

Red Speech Balloons for Main Story

Doing the Main Story Missions unlock more features that greatly help during early game! Look out for red speech balloons on top of a character's head or on an object. That's the sign that interacting with them will proceed with the Main Story.

Main Story Guide

Focus on Building One Team

Focus on Building One Team

At the early game, decide on which three characters you want to use and focus on building those characters only. You can build another team of characters once your first one is fully built.

This is because as your characters level up, they will need a lot more materials at higher level numbers. So building more than three characters in the early game will consume a lot of your resources.

Best Team Comps

Collect EXP Materials

Combat Simulation

After clearing Chapter 1 of the Main Story, the HIA Club will be unlocked. This is where you can spend Battery to collect materials that can be used to upgrade your characters.

Farm for Drive Discs Later

Routine Cleanup Screen

While Drive Discs make your characters significantly stronger, we highly recommend to save these for last since it's more important to level up your Characters and their Skills.

You can use Drive Discs that you've received from Commissions and Primer as temporary alternatives until you've fully upgraded your characters.

Routine Cleanup Guide

Look for Missing Mini Cargo Trucks

Missing Mini Cargo Trucks

Certain Missing Mini Cargo Trucks can be found around the city block, and they can be easily spotted by the bright blue X on its side. Opening these will grant the player some EXP items and Dennies as a reward!

Collect HIA Coins and Mewmew Medals

Exchange HIA Coins

HIA Coins and Mewmew Medals can be collected by interacting with NPCs and completing certain Commissions. These can provide you more materials and Dennies to use for your characters.

Visit the Daily Check-In Website

Daily Check-In Website

Much like its sister games from Hoyoverse, Zenless Zone Zero also has a Daily Check-in website where Proxies can go and log in daily to obtain free items.

The day-by-day reward does not look like much but it eventually accumulates over time, letting players have the necessary materials in the long run.

Best Early Game Teams

Agent Leveling Priority
Attack > Stun/Anomaly > Support/Defense

The first three Free Characters can be used to form a solid free-to-play team. Nicole especially is a great Support Agent that you can use even in the endgame.

Billy can be your DPS until you get better Attack Agents. Since Anby is the only A-Rank Stun unit, you will most likely use her in the team more times than not.

Prioritize DPS Agents

Best A-Rank DPS

Other A-Rank Agents

Attack Agents are usually the Main DPS of a team, as their entire kit is built to deal as much damage as possible. It's important to level up the DPS units first since they will deal significantly less damage on enemies with a higher level.

Anomaly Agents are also considered to be DPS units thanks to their high Attribute Anomaly DMG.

Level At Least One Stun Character

Free-To-Play Stun Agent

Stun Agents specialize in increasing enemy Daze, and immobilizes them once the meter is full. When that happens, your team can go into Chain Attacks or deal even heavier DMG on their own.
