Retail Industry Study Materials is a Trust Commission for Ben. This commission unlocks after reaching the Friendly trust rank with Ben.
Note that Retail Industry Study Materials Trust Commission cannot be replayed once you finish it and it's also a videotape request, meaning Ben can promote the video store afterwards.

Trust Commissions increase a certain character's Trust when you complete them. Whenever you get an invite from one of your teammates, be sure to respond and help them with their cause!
Ben Bigger Trust Event and Best Answers
Once your trust rank with Ben is Friendly, answer his DM in the morning, just right after you've woken up. He will message you again a little later if you have found the video tape request he requested, and then he will go in his free time to the video store to get it.
Right after Ben's first DM about requesting you to find Best Bid, wait for his second DM. He will message you again, asking if you have already found it.
Once you reply back to him, wait for him to come around to the Random Play video store. As he said, he will be going there in his free time.
Simply, wait for Ben to come to the Random Play video store in Sixth Street. He will show up just outside the entrance of the video store and its likely he will show up there the next in-game day.
Talking to him while he's there will trigger a special event and it will start the Trust Commission.

The dialogue choices you make in Retail Industry Study Materials don't matter as all will increase trust.
How to Increase Agent Trust Level
After completing the Retail Industry Study Materials Trust Commission, Ben's Trust level will increase and he will be available to promote the Random Play video store. You'll also get 12,500 Denny.
