Conversion Kits or Aftermarket Parts are a new type of attachment in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) that allow you to fully convert your weapon. Read on for a full list of all Conversion Kits in MW3 and learn how to equip Conversion Kits for your gun, in-game.
List of Contents
There are three confirmed general Conversion Kit types so far—namely the Bullpup Kit, Carbine Kit, and the Akimbo Kit.
Kits | Effects |
---|---|
Bullpup Kit | ・Increase Weapon's Mobility and Handling ・Increase Rate of Fire ・Improves Hip-Fire Recoil |
Carbine Kit | ・Increases Bullet Velocity ・Increases Bullet Range ・Improves Rate of Fire |
Akimbo Kit | ・Improves Rate of Fire at the Cost of Damage Range and Mobility |
In order to unlock Aftermarket Parts, players will have to complete in-game challenges that become available once they reach the weapon's max level.
List of All Weekly Challenges and Rewards
Complete these challenges to unlock the Conversion Kits for these weapons!
Conversion Kits or Aftermarket Parts fully convert a weapon into something unique and entirely new for you to use after you've mastered the gun in Multiplayer. These changes are much more drastic than those offered by Blueprints, often altering the weapon type of the converted gun entirely (e.g., Handgun becoming a Full-Auto Carbine).
This allows players to create a unique identity for the guns in their arsenal that are not possible through the use of regular attachments.
Conversion Kits or Aftermarket Parts are Seasonal Unlocks and can only be obtained as a reward from the Weekly Challenge system of each season. Once a season ends, Conversion Kits you failed to unlock during the season will get their own unlock challenges upon entering the Armory.
Before you can equip a Conversion Kit attachment for your gun in MW3, you will first need to master its compatible weapon. To master a weapon, you will need to max out its weapon level by equipping it and earning Weapon XP via MW3 multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone matches.
Once a weapon is mastered and its Conversion Kit unlocked, you can equip the conversion via the Gunsmith in the Loadouts menu of the game.
