Season 1 Confirmed for December 6
The official Call of Duty Twitter confirmed that Season 1 launches on December 6, 2023. This will line up with the Season 6 Battle Pass ending and pre-season Weekly Challenges resetting on the same day.
Season 1 Launching at 9 AM
An official Announcement for Season 1 on Call of Duty's website confirmed that Season 1 will be going live at 9 AM PST across all platforms.

Season 1 Exclusive Content
3 New 6v6 Multiplayer Maps
Season 1 adds 3 new 6v6 Maps for MW3 Multiplayer, bringing the current total up to 19. Unlike the remastered maps from the original MW2 (2009), these maps will be brand new. Meat and Greece will be available as soon as Season 1 launches, while Rio will go live sometime during the season.
- Meat: Compact map set in an industrial slaughterhouse.
- Greece: As the name suggests, this map uses Mediterranean themes, perhaps hinting at the return of water combat like in MW2.
- Rio: Vibrant map centered around a Shopping Center landmark.
Gunfight Returns with a New Training Facility Map
2v2 is back on the menu as devs have confirmed the return of the Gunfight game mode. Shipping alongside the game mode will be a brand new 2v2 map called Training Facility.
Rifts and a New Wonder Weapon for Zombies
Season 1 will also feature the first major content drop for MW3 Zombies. New features will include an extended story as well as brand new endgame activities and items for you to collect:
- Dark Aether Rifts: Endgame, time-based activities for players who have completed the Seasonal Mission for Zombies.
- Friend Zone: A new Wonder Weapon that allows you to turn your enemies into allies. The effect will apply to both Zombie and Human enemies.
- New Schematics: Brand new schematics and unique unlock conditions for players to get during Season 1.
New Warzone Map: Urzikstan
Season 1 features a brand new map for Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 called Urzikstan, offering a nice departure from the old Al Mazrah map. To get a headstart on the featured POIs of the new map, make sure to try out Zombies since this mode is set in Urzikstan.
New Aftermarket Parts
Season 1 will also have new Aftermarket Parts and Conversion Kits for players to unlock similar to the Weekly Challenges of MW3 Season 0 (Pre-Season). However, do note that the devs have yet to announce the number of Aftermarket Parts shipping with the new season.
