MW3 Zombies - How to Leave Squad in Zombies

Players are now able to leave their Zombies squad in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) as part of the Season 1 Reloaded update. See how to leave the squad as well as how to rejoin squad in Zombies mode!

Select Leave Squad in the Ping Wheel

To leave a squad in zombies, simply bring up the Ping Wheel and select the Leave Squad option. A notification will pop up on your screen if you have successfully left your squad.

Join Another Squad

MW3 - Join Another Squad

An alternate way of leaving a squad is to join another nearby squad, provided they have a vacant slot and accept your request to join.

Take note that the maximum squad size in Zombies is 6. You won't be able to leave your squad this way if the other squad is already full!

The Leave Squad option is a new feature introduced when the Season 1 Reloaded went live. Prior to the update, players were unable to leave a squad without joining another.

To rejoin a squad, bring up the Ping Wheel again, select Request to Join Nearby Squad, and wait for someone to accept.
