How to Get Pet Dog in Zombies

Deposit Chunks of Flesh in Doghouse

Hellhound Level

To obtain a pet dog in Zombies, you first need to find a Doghouse and deposit Chunks of Flesh. The location of these Doghouses vary, as they are randomly chosen from a pool of possible Doghouses spawn locations in every match.

A few seconds after depositing the Chunks of Flesh, the Doghouse will explode and a Hellhound pet will spawn.

Level Requirement
Level 1 ・Chunk of Flesh x1
・Low-Threat Zone
Level 2 ・Chunk of Flesh x2
・Mid-Threat Zone
Level 3 ・Chunk of Flesh x3
・High-Threat Zone

The level of your Zombies dog depends on the number of Chunks of Flesh you stored and the Map Threat Level the Doghouse is located in. To “level up” your Zombies dog, you need to summon a stronger one at the Doghouse at a higher threat-level zone.

Revives You and Other Squad Members

Modern Warfare 3 - Hellhound Revive
The Zombies pet dog has the ability to revive both squad members, including yourself, in exchange for a small portion of their health. It's important to note that the amount of health the Hellhound has depends on its level.

This is especially useful while completion Story Missions that are difficult, let alone for a single person.

Modern Warfare 3 - Hellhound Attack
The Zombies pet dog automatically attacks all nearby enemies, including mercenaries. Furthermore, every enemy killed by your Hellhound counts toward your kills, earning you XP rewards.

Pet a Hellhound in MWZ

If there are no enemies nearby, the Zombies dog will sit and you can pet it if you get close. Doing this will reward you with the You Can Pet the Dog Achievement.
