How to Equip Rails

Unlock the PDSW 528 in MW3

Rail attachments are unique to the PDSW 528. Make sure to unlock this unique weapon first in order to access Rail attachments. If you have the PDSW 528 unlocked in MW2, it should carry forward to MW3. If you do not have MW2, there will be a related challenge to unlock it in the newer title.

Equip a Rail via the Gunsmith After Unlocking the Rail Slot

Before you can equip an Rail attachment for the PDSW 528, you will first need to unlock its Rail Slot. To unlock this attachment slot, you will need to earn Weapon XP for your chosen gun by using it in MW3 multiplayer matches, Zombies, or Warzone.

Once you have both the Rail Slot and a compatible rail attachment unlocked for your PDSW 528, you can customize your weapon and add the new rail via the Gunsmith.

Rail attachments are unique to the PDSW 528 (P90), allowing you to choose between better movement speed while the gun is equipped or better iron sights while in ADS view (depending on your chosen attachment).
