Update to the Latest Version (Nov. 17, 2023 Update)
The Instance Inventory is Idle Error has now been fixed with the November 17, 2023 update. Players only need to update the game to the latest version to fix the error!
Note that this fix is only available for Zombies Mode, and there's no word for Multiplayer yet.

Instance Inventory is Idle Error Explained
Error is a Pre-MW3 Bug from DMZ
Unfortunately, if you're encountering the Instance Inventory is Idle Error in MW3, then you are one in a long line of players to experience the bug since the DMZ mode launched with Warzone 2.0 back in 2022. Since the error isn't anything new, players will have to wait for Sledgehammer Games to fix any instances of the bug appearing in MW3.
Likely Caused by Desync Issues
As with many bugs found in the Call of Duty HQ client, the Instance Inventory is Idle error can likely be attributed to account desync issues when switching between the different game modes available in MW3 and Warzone (includes DMZ).
Restarting the game, switching between game modes, or even switching between Warzone and MW3 could potentially resolve the issue if it persists after waiting a certain length of time.
