Modern Warfare 3 - Year of the Dragon Event

The Year of the Dragon is an event celebrating the Lunar New Year in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Read on to learn more about the Year of the Dragon event including info on its start and end dates, features, and rewards!

The Year of the Dragon event will go live on February 9, 2024 at 10 AM PST. According to the offical Season 2 Dev Blog, this event will run from February 9 to February 14. During this time, players will be able to earn Lunar New Year-themed event rewards.

Earn XP by Playing to Get Lunar New Year Rewards

MW3 - Earn XP in Year of the Dragon

Similar to past events in MW3, the Year of the Dragon will be an XP collection event. Simply play MW3 Multiplayer, Zombies, or Warzone and earn XP during the event period to unlock the event rewards. Like before, each reward will be tied to an XP milestone.

Full Kit Dragon Soul Store Bundle

Full Kit Dragon Lunar New Year

In celebration of the Lunar New Year, the in-game store will also release the Full Kit Dragon Soul: Lunar New Year Bundle for a limited time. Equipping the Emperor Operator Skin included in the bundle will grant players an extra 1000 XP per match for duration of the event!
