You get the Kicked for Inactivity While Playing error when you camp with a sniper for too long in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Learn what the Kicked for Inactivity While Playing error is and how to avoid getting kicked for inactivity!

Kicked for Inactivity While Playing Error Explained

Kicked for Inactivity Causes
1. You are staying in a certain radius/spot for more than 2 minutes.
2. Kills are not counted towards "activity." You will still get kicked for inactivity even when getting kills.
3. Using Field Upgrades are not counted towards "activity."

Camping Within Certain Radius for Over 2 Minutes

MW3 You Are About to Be Kicked for Inactivity

Players are getting kicked for inactivity for camping/staying in a certain radius or spot for too long. In our experience, it doesn't have to be an exact/single spot; you can get kicked even if you move around a small area, if you don't move far away enough from your camping spot.

You will typically get kicked for inactivity if you camp within that radius for over 2 minutes. In some cases, you will get a warning that you're about to be kicked. However, in most cases, we've experienced just being kicked without warning.

Additionally, even if you're doing things like getting kills or using Field Upgrades within that spot, you will still get kicked for inactivity.

How to Avoid Getting Kicked for Inactivity

Move to a Different Spot Far From Original

MW3 Kicked for Inactivity Sniping

The most obvious solution to the Kicked for Inactivity error is to simply not stay in a small area for 2 minutes. Move to a different area—to be extra cautious, head to an area far away from your original camping spot.

Multiplayer Maps and Hiding Spots

Refrain from Mounting Your Weapon

In addition to above, mounting your weapon for too long will likely cause you to get kicked for inactivity, so we don't recommend doing that during Multiplayer matches.

agree, lost another customer to dumb rules against snipers!

So on wasteland my team was running around dying a lot I held down the tank area while getting kills with the M16 and got kicked also I was moving and shooting
