Unlock the Gunner Vest or the Overkill Vest

MW3 Overkill Vest

To unlock the Overkill Perk effect, or the ability to equip two primary weapons, players need to unlock and equip the Gunner Vest or the Overkill Vest.

Note that perks in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) have been replaced by Vests, Gloves, and Boosts.

How to Unlock the Gunner and Overkill Vests

Level Up to 20 and 50

CoD MW3 - Max Level

Players can unlock the Gunner Vest at level 20, while the Overkill Vest is unlocked at level 50. With these vests, players will have the ability to equip two primary weapons at the same time.

The Gunner Vest is ultimately better out of the two, as it gives players maximum ammo upon deployment, increased reload speed, and can be unlocked faster.

MW3 Equip Vests
Equipping either the Gunner Vest or the Overkill Vest will allow players to equip two primary weapons at the same time. Note that each vest will give one or two bonus perks aside from being able to equip two primary weapons.

You can equip vests in your loadout menu before the match.
