What are One Shot One Kills?

Single Gunshot Kills

One Shot One Kills are when you eliminate an opponent with a single gunshot. This can be accomplished by utilizing high-damage weapons, utilizing specialized ammo and attachments, and scoring headshots.

Some Sniper Rifles and Shotguns with a high enough damage can One Shot One Kill opponents with a body shot as well.

How to Get One Shot One Kills

Use Sniper Rifles in Multiplayer Modes

One Shot One Kill Screen Shot

Using Sniper Rifles is the fastest way to get One Shot One Kills. Most Sniper Rifles can achieve them even with a body shot.

It is also recommended to play multiplayer game modes that involve fewer players such as Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and others. These modes will allow you to take your time when trying to aim for the head.

You Can't Progress Any Challenges in Private Matches

One Shot One Kills don't count in Private or Custom Matches in Modern Warfare 3, although you're eliminating other real-life players in this mode. You'll have to play public matches in Multiplayer to get One Shot One Kills.
