Army of Replicas
The Silver Squad is an army of clones born from a single supersoldier's genetic print. It is currently unknown who the individual this blueprint came from, but it's clear that she was a formidable soldier through and through.
A now-defunct subsidiary of the Defense Force called the Silver Company led this project and the operation to mass produce biological clones. However, their methods were not only unethical but also proved too costly, which ultimately led to their shutdown.
Training and Sorting
Silver Company's goal was to create an army of supersoldiers with superhuman strength, agility, and combat prowess. However, as advanced as their technology may have been, they could never truly replicate the original's capabilities.
Those who did not meet Silver Company's standards were simply disposed of. Those whose skills were “tolerable” enough were given back-of-the-line tasks that did not involve much combat and were subject to the company's discrimination.
Camaraderie Between Squad Members
Despite their parent company's dark nature, the members of Silver Squad actually shared a harmonious relationship with one another, often considering each other as sisters.
During missions, they made sure to look out for and after one another, even those who were given the light tasks. They became so close to the point that they gave each other names that each member thought sounded pleasant.
The Suicide Mission
The Silver Company was one of the factions within the Defense Force that participated in a power struggle. For this reason, Silver Company sent out all of its soldiers on a mission.
Unbeknownst to the squad, this mission was designed to wipe out every single one of them... all save for one.

Soldier 0 Anby is the Captain
Of all the replicas ever created, one was a near-perfect copy, and just so happens to be the very first one ever created—Soldier 0. Her teammates gave her the name Anby.
Soldier 0 Anby is the most powerful soldier of Silver Squad and was its Captain. She led the squad with utter determination and discipline, outstanding strategy, and above all, compassion.
“Sacrificed” Herself for a Teammate
Soldier 0 Anby was supposed to be the only soldier to survive Silver Company's suicide mission.
Her name wasn't on the deployment list, but after seeing one of her teammates get injured after training too hard, she took it upon herself to go in her stead.

Anby Gets Taken In by the Cunning Hares
After wandering about the city for a while, she was found by Nicole and was inducted into the Cunning Hares.
When filing for citizenship in New Eridu, Anby was required to fill out her surname in the form. Not possessing one, she peeked at Nicole's form and copied hers (which Nicole didn't mind), thus officially claiming the name Anby Demara.
Soldier 11 is a Former Member
Soldier 11 of the Defense Force's Obol Squad was a member of the Silver Squad, though she has no recollection of being so. Back then, she was known to the members of Silver Squad as Harin.
Her lack of memory is due to the fact that Silver Squad members go through a memory wipe when get severely injured.
Connection to Anby
It was Soldier 11 who injured herself the night before the suicide mission. Upon seeing her get injured, Anby took the chance to save her by taking her place in the mission.
After Anby's survival and return to Silver Company, they ordered her to execute Soldier 11 as she was not meant to survive. As a result, Anby offered to trade in her life for Soldier 11's, then fled and disappeared.

Twiggy was In Charge of Backup Plans
Among the members of Silver Squad were the “tolerated”—not useful in combat, but useful enough to keep. Twiggy was one of them.
Though she may lack battle prowess compared to her sisters, Twiggy had a good head on her shoulders, and she was put in charge of counter-contingency—backup plans in case anything went wrong with a mission.
Destroyed in the Suicide Mission
Twiggy was one of the replicas deployed in the suicide mission. However, unlike Harin, she suffered a grim fate and was destroyed...but did not die.
Amidst the rubble and corpses, she was found by scavengers limbless and in ruin, and sold in the black market, either for parts or to merely be a servant until she was procured by Sarah, one of the Exaltists.
Planned to Revive Silver Squad
Sarah kept Twiggy as a “trophy girl” and operated on her, replacing her missing limbs with prosthetic ones. She then provided Twiggy with fragmented research data from Silver Company's projects and let her do with it what she will.
Unlike the rest of Silver Squad, Twiggy's memories remained intact. Driven by hatred and vengeance, she formulated a plan to revive Silver Company's lost technology and reinstate Silver Squad under her leadership.
