Clear Corners Fast with Boost and Drift Combination
A good recommendation on how to clear corners quickly and reduce your time maneuvering around them is to use the boost before entering the corner, then drift around the corner, and use boost again.
However, you need at least one boost before you can do this effectively. The second boost can be obtained after drifting around the corner.
Collect Power Cells or Go Past Speed Sensors to go Faster
You need to collect as many power cells as you can to fuel your boost meter and give yourself a burst of speed through the straight line or after exiting corners.
Going past yellow speed sensors can also give you an additional boost for a limited time. However, you need to avoid the dark purple sensors as they will slow you down.

Obtain Fuel Stars to Become Invulnerable
Obtaining fuel stars makes you invulnerable to dark purple sensors that can slow you down and other obstacles that can make you lose time.
However, the fuel stars might be placed in a difficult spot within the challenge area, like near obstacles. If so, we recommend obtaining the fuel cells or avoiding the obstacles rather than getting the fuel star.

Collect Puller Magnet
When using the Midsummer Breeze surfboard, be sure to pick up the Puller Magnets, as they allow you to automatically collect Fuel Tanks and nearby items within a wide range, making your race much more efficient.

How to Unlock: Complete Eye of the Vortex Stats: Top Speed (km/h): 212 Cruise Speed (km/h): 115 Description: A board that bypasses the negative effects of special barriers and speed reduction zones. Move smoothly through the waves like a shadowy sea serpent. |
 Midsummer Breeze |
How to Unlock: Complete Specter of the Sea Stats: Top Speed (km/h): 230 Cruise Speed (km/h): 122 Description: Extends the effects of magnets and Fuel Stars from 6 to 9 seconds. A love letter just for you that dispels the oppressive mugginess of the summer heat. |
How to Play Blazing Waves
Clear Stages to Collect Surfboards
As you progress and unlock new stages, Proxies will acquire new surfboards, and each offers unique buffs. Choosing the right surfboard for each stage can help you clear the stage’s layout and finish the race before the time limit.
Use Drifting for Power Boost
While racing on the waves, press and hold the drift button when turning to drift, as this move charges your power gauge, and also triggers a power boost, which gives you a short speed boost.
