Find Armored Zombies in Medium Threat Zone

Armored zombies can be found roaming across the medium and high threat zones. Make sure to activate contracts or exfils found within these zones to have a chance of spawning them.

Although you can find more armored zombies inside the high threat zone, it's not recommended to complete the Blasted mission objective there. Things can go south quickly in the high threat zone, especially when you're delaying your shots to wait for the Shatter Ammo's internal cooldown.

How to Destroy Armor with Shatter Blast

Use High Single-Shot Damage Guns (Shotguns or Launchers)

To destroy armor on 25 Zombies during the Blasted mission, use weapons that can deal high single damage, such as Shotguns or Launchers, because you need to break the armor on the shot with the Shatter Blast effect.

You don’t progress the mission task if you hit a zombie with Shatter Blast and it still does not break the armor. Thus, it's best to use high single-damage weapon to ensure the Shatter Blast effect is what breaks the armor.

If you use a light weapon, there will be times when the Shatter Blast procs won't be able to destroy enemy armor and you'll have to use the Shatter Blast periodically, since not all shots have the effect.

Shoot Scattered Blast Periodically

The Shatter Blast Ammo Mod has an internal cooldown of about 30 seconds in between procs. Keep this internal cooldown in mind to prevent excessive firing and accidentally killing armored zombies.

Have Another Squad Member Damage Armor First

Another trick you can do is to have another squad member or a secondary weapon damage the zombie's armor before dealing the final blow with the Shatter Blast modded weapon.
