You can get Self Revives in Reward Rifts that spawn after completing contracts. Rewards you can obtain will vary, so you'll have to do a few Contracts, but this method relies less on RNG than in Loot Caches.

You can find Self-Revive Kits randomly inside Loot Caches. Although it is a rare drop and the chances of finding one are slim, it can still save you a couple of essence compared to buying them from the Quick Revive Vending Machine.
