Obtain a Gas Mask
Gas Masks can be obtained from mercenary drops. The easiest way to find and deal with mercenaries is by raiding a mercenary camp or ambushing a mercenary convoy.

Destroy an Aether Nest
Aether Nests are marked in the map with a gray hexagon icon. Shoot the yellow cysts inside to destroy the Aether Nest. This mechanic is the same as Infested Strongholds.

MW3 Zombies - Cyphered Tablet
Acquire Cyphered Tablet
The cyphered tablet will drop once the aether nest is destroyed. An Icon will appear in your worldview that will act as a waypoint to the cyphered tablet.

Use PHD Flopper Perk for Aether Nests

The PHD Flopper Perk allows players to be immune from the toxins of Aether Nests. Keep in mind that the toxins can still deplete armor which can be critical if surrounded.
