Proxies must encounter the Mysterious Elder first to gain intel on the Lost Manuscript, and then you can search for it in the Qingming Realm after the dialogue cutscene.

Talk to the Mysterious Elder
During the Sword Seeker Chronicles event, once you reach The Deepest Part of the Hidden Realm inside the Qingming Realm, you will meet the Mysterious Elder near the teleporter.
Speak to him and help him search for the lost manuscript about the swordmasters.
Head to the Manuscript Location
After talking to the Mysterious Elder, open up the map and use the Secret Mountain Gate teleporter. From there, head to the marked area in the image to find the manuscript.
Approach the jar located in the corner and interact with the sparkling object called Ground-Scattered Papers to read the papers.
Make sure to take the paper with you and return to the Mysterious Elder to give him back the manuscript he has been looking for.
