How to Unlock Heart of the Sword
Clear Mystery of the Three Monkeys Quest
Heart of the Sword can be unlocked after completing the previous commission in the questline, Mystery of the Three Monkeys.
The commission will appear on the Schedule screen once its prerequisites are met.
Mystery of the Three Monkeys Quest Guide
Part of the Sword Seeker Chronicles
Heart of the Sword is the fifth event quest within the Sword Seeker Chronicles event. During the event, you head inside the Qingming Realm to learn about the previous masters of the Qingming Sword!
This quest and the previous quest, Mystery of the Three Monkeys, make up the Unwavering Blade Phase Commissions. It's a series of quests that make up the story of Sword Seeker Chronicles Day 3!

- Return to Main Hall and Find Shifu
- Explore the Final Area
- Defeat Miasma Walker - Scorpse
- Head to the Deepest Part of the Area
- Defeat Ye Shiyuan
- Learn the Secret from the Qingming Sword
- Catch Up with Everyone
- Chat with Xiao'Guang
Return to Main Hall and Find Shifu
After striking the bells and defeating the high-risk Ethereals, return to the Main Hall to report back to Shifu. You will notice some changes in the Monkey Statues, revealing a door that leads to a new area to explore in the Qingming Realm.
Explore the Final Area
As you complete the Monkey Statue, a door will open, allowing you to explore the final area with Shifu. Defeat the enemies blocking your path to progress.
Defeat Miasma Walker - Scorpse
Make your way to the deepest part of the Qingming Realm and defeat the Miasma Walker - Scorpse just before reaching the stairs that lead to the final trial.
Head to the Deepest Part of the Area
After the battle, ascend the stairs and watch the dialogue cutscene featuring Peregrine as he absorbs the Sword Memory.
Defeat Ye Shiyuan
For the final trial, you must defeat Ye Shiyuan along with his summoned Sobek. Once the battle is over, another dialogue cutscene will play as the siblings reconcile.
Learn the Secret from the Qingming Sword
Shifu also reveals her true identity, as she was the previous wielder of the sword. Approach the other Ye Shunguang as she mentions all the swordmasters they have met, and that Ye Shunguang is qualified to reach beyond the door.
After learning the secret of the Qingming Sword, you will finally be able to leave the Qingming Realm.
Catch Up with Everyone
You and Xiao'Guang return to the Suibian Temple, where it’s time to catch up with everyone at Yunkui Summit. Watch the dialogue cutscene as everyone celebrates Ye Shunguang’s return after her first mission!
Chat with Xiao'Guang
After returning to the temple, head to Xiao'Guang's room to discuss the recent events that occurred.

Heart of the Sword is the second quest of the Unwavering Blade phase of the Sword Seeker Chronicles event. Completing all the quests in a phase will net you the same rewards of 80 Polychromes and 16 Original Chips!
