The PS5 trophy is to befriend anyone and get the hidden ending by calling ALL friends. The Achievement (ingame achievement for polychromes) requires you to befriend NO friends
Didn't befriend anyone, fought the final boss, got the "Hero's Journey" achievement in game, but did not get the trophy through PSN. Anyone have anything similar happen?
if you're doing the hidden achievement, DO NOT steal Absolution's bomb or else you'll befriend him

Thanks for editing to add what the other commenter requested. Another section you might want to add (which I didn't see unless I missed it) was the part about the jail key and rescuing the person held in the prison!!!
PLEASE PLEASE make it clear that just HITTING Benign makes you friends with them I checked this guide part way through and forgot it said I befriended them after hitting them and assumed it was broken BUT guess what it WASNT I didn't bother to fight pride before that and it was too late for me to leave and fight pride because it forced me to pick a side.
