Brain Rot Ammo Mods can be found inside Aether Caches after clearing out Aether Nests and Infested Strongholds. Keep in mind that you'll have to cleanse these Aether Nests first before you can loot the caches.

) are marked on your Tac-Map with hexagon icons.Completing contracts is another good method to obtain Brain Rot Ammo Mods as you can get them as a potential reward from Reward Rifts.
However, the rewards for these are random, and you may have to do quite a hefty amount of them to finally get a Brain Rot Ammo Mod.
You can get a Brain Rot Ammo Mod by crafting it. This can be unlocked by obtaining the Dead Wire Ammo Mode Schematics from Reward Rifts and exfiltrating with it.
Fellow squad members can also craft the Brain Rot Ammo Mod for you. Ammo Mods can be dropped and picked up by other squad members.

Equip the Brain Rot Ammo Mod for your weapon and keep shooting the zombies until their health turns green. This is an indicator that they've been infected by the Brain Rot Ammo and will now fight alongside you.
The Brain Rot Ammo Mod lets you turn a zombie into an ally, making them fight on your side. However, this effect won't last long and that friendly zombie will eventually explode and die after a brief amount of time.
We recommend turning zombies into friendly allies when you're at Medium and High Threat Zones as the zombies there are a lot tougher than the ones at the Low Threat Zone.
When a Zombie gets affected by Brain Rot, any enemy that they've damaged will be affected by Toxic Damage and will count as a Toxic Damage kill.
