Using the Brain Rot Ammo Mod allows you to directly deal Toxic Damage and has a chance to randomly turn enemy zombies into allies. Any enemy killed by the zombies affected by Brain Rot will also count as Toxic Damage kills.
You can randomly obtain these ammo mods by opening Aether Caches inside Aether Nests or by opening Reward Rifts after completing Contracts.
You can also utilize the Experimental Gas from your tactical gear. Activating it releases a poison gas that inflicts damage on all enemies within its area of effect. The damage-over-time (DOT) from this tactical gear is not particularly strong, so it is recommended to use it against enemies that are already low on health.
Consuming an Elemental Pop Soda grants you a perk that gives each of your bullets a chance to apply a random Ammo Mod effect. This will increase your overall chance of turning enemy zombies into allies for more Toxic Damage kills.

Toxic Damage is the damage produced by the Brain Rot Ammo Mod and Experimental Gas. These induce chemical reactions in enemies, which can damage them over time or change their overall behavior by controlling them.
