Location After obtaining the crank, go back to the mechanical door near the windmill. Use the crank to open the door, follow the path and cross the narrow wooden walkway. The mermaid ball will be on an altar to your left.

To get the Mermaid Ball, you will first have to acquire the Crank and defeat Mutated Moreau. On your way back, open up the door near the Windmill with the Crank and go up the hill when you come to it. Cross the bridge and this Ball will be inside the box to your left.
