| Location | From the boat's location go back into the mines and take a left up the stairs. Use the knife to knock down the wood marked by the yellow tape. Take the ladder down and continue to the old shack to get the boat key. |

The Boat Key is found in a shed in the Mines of the Reservoir area. After first encountering Moreau and obtaining the Arms Flask, you must escape the Mines. You can make your way outside to find a boat, but it requires a key. Go back into the mines, and go up the stairs on the left, shoot down the wooden planks to proceed, and you will find a shed in a large cave. The Boat Key is in the shed hanging on the wall. Be careful though, the shed will be surrounded by Lycans.
