When using an Ascendant Floret, we recommend getting the next superboon if it fits the hero. If not, consider what stat your hero needs most.
Brave Claude's best IVs are +Spd and -Df. With a Spd boon, he will be able to gain even more follow-up attacks on his foes. It is also a superboon which means you should take advantage of it as much as possible. Def is his least important stat and is the most ideal bane.
We recommend a +Spd IV when merging Brave Claude to 10. With a +Spd IV, his Spd will reach 48 with Fury 4. This makes him very powerful offensively and defensively as he can score lots of follow-up attacks while evading lots of it as well.
Take note that he has 2 debuffs to Spd so his ability to outspeed enemies can be overlooked if you are taking into consideration stats alone.

This is a budget build for Brave Claude using his base kit. Swift Sparrow 2 boosts his overall damage together with Fury 4, while the debuffs on Atk/Spd Rein help soften up enemy units.

This handful of effects is a lot to place in one weapon refine, and is much better than any other option Brave Claude has.

Brave Claude is a ranged physical attacker (range = 2). Therefore, when not accounting for the Weapon Triangle, the amount of damage he deals will be equivalent to his Atk minus the foe's Def stat.
If Claude is within 2 spaces on an ally or if he initiates combat, Wind Parthia grants him +5 to all stats. This is a very powerful buff that and it is almost impossible to have problems trying to meet the trigger conditions.
Another effect of Wind Parthia with the same trigger conditions as above is that, he restores 50% of his HP everytime he activates his special. Not only does he get boosted damage through Moonbow, but Wind Parthia also heals him up whenever said skill activates. It is important to mention that Moonbow only has a cooldown of 2, but that gets further reduced by Wind Parthia which accelerates special trigger, bringing it down to 1. The amount of damage and heals that will be sourced from a Wind Parthia-boosted Moonbow in the course of a battle is absurd!
All these effects make it a MUST to have Claude be within 2 spaces of an ally in the enemy phase. This is the only way to trigger these effects as the other trigger condition requires him to initiate the attack.
Claude's C skill, Atk/Spd Rein 3 inflicts -4 Atk/Spd on foes within 2 spaces during combat. It helps both Claude and allies as the range is modest and it affects enemies even if Claude is not directly part of combat. Claude's flying movement makes it easy to position him in effectively utilizing this skill. It is an in-combat buff which makes it easy to stack with other debuffs such as Atk Ploy 3.
As a flying unit, Brave Claude takes 1.5x damage from bows and weapons effective on flying units. Be sure to keep them out of the range of archers and leave them to other units.

Brave Claude can fit in a wide variety of teams as he can mostly take care of himself.
He can be paired with those that can boost his firepower even more, like Legendary Eliwood's Bonus Doubler effect on his Ardent Durandal or any of the dancers above.
Brave Claude can also fit into an all-flier team as he can take advatage of buffs such as Hone Fliers or Goad Fliers.
He can also make use of other flier-exclusive skills such as Flier Formation 3 or Air Orders 3 in order to pull off surprise attacks on the enemy team.

Units that have weapons that let them attack twice during combat are very effective against Brave Claude as they can potentially one-shot him before he attacks and triggers his Special (and healing himself).
This is especially effective if you are using bow units that have Brave Bow+ in their arsenal.
Units with Fatal Smoke 3 like Legendary Sigurd and Valentine's Lif will prevent Brave Claude from healing due to his weapon's effect, which cripples his survivability.
