As a hero obtainable only through Tempest Trials, Winter Claude will always have neutral IVs by default. The only way to access IVs for this unit is through using Trait Fruits.

+Spd / -HP

The best IVs for Winter Claude are +Spd and -HP. Boosting Spd improves his already high base 46 Spd to base 50, allowing him to prevent follow-up attacks from the fast units in the metagame.

Both Claude's Def and Res are in the low 30s, and lowering either stat affects his matchups against the appropriate enemies. Thus, we recommend taking HP as a bane, as it is the easiest stat to patch up through blessings.

Golden Yule Bow+ can boost Winter Claude's stats by +4, reaching up to +7 depending on the space taken before initiating the combat. If enemies are inflicted with penalties, he will receive the maximum benefits of the bow, as it cancels out the clash condition to get the boost.

High Spd

Winter Claude's base Spd of 46 (50 with a superboon) allows him to function as a speedy armor that can protect allies with Savior skills if given them through Skill Inheritance.

Utilizing Claude's high Spd allows him to prevent follow-up attacks from the fast metagame units, minimizing the incoming damage he is receiving.
