Stardust Ore is found in areas that have a pollution level of 100 or greater. See how to get Stardust ore, and what its uses are in this guide.

To get Stardust Ore, players need to mine Startrace Ore nodes, found only in areas with very high amounts of Stardust Pollution. The Stardust Pollution is getting worse will appear as a notification when entering these areas.
For Stardust Ore specifically, a pollution level of 100 or greater is recommended. The pollution level of an area is visible on the Cradle backpack that characters wear.
The above location in Chalk Peak is an area with 100 pollution level, near the coordinates of -1185, -2402.
Be careful when entering, as Stardust Pollution of this intensity will severely decrease Sanity and Max HP, making players more vulnerable to damage.
Startrace Ore sparsely appears as an iridescent, rainbow-colored ore node, and usually does not appear with more than one node per spawn. To mine it, players will need at least a Steel Pickaxe.
Stardust Ore can be processed into Stardust Source, which is a valuable resource used in processes such as calibrating high-rarity weapons.
Players need to have the Oil Processing Memetic Specialization, which will allow them to refine the Ore into Stardust Source at an Electric Furnace.
