(Prerequisite) Finish Act 4 Story Mission (Prerequisite) Activate the Dark Aether Rifts using keys Tier 3 / High Threat Zone Contract Reward Rifts

Sigils are obtained by completing Contracts in the High Threat Zone (Red Zone). Any type of Contract in the High Threat Zone has the chance to drop Sigils. We recommend doing the Deliver Cargo and Eliminate the Bounty contracts since they're the fastest to complete.
For Sigils to spawn in your game, you first need to finish the Act 4 Story Mission Bad Signal. Sigils won't spawn for you if you don't complete the story mission—even if you're in a squad that did complete it.
Next, you also have to have activated the Dark Aether Rift by placing its 4 keys on the Rift Pedestals. These keys are the Locked Diary, Pill Bottle, Dog Collar, and Surveillance Camera. This part can be done even if you haven't completed Bad Signal, as long as you're part of a squad that has at least one member who has done it.
After you activate the Dark Aether Rift for the first time, you'll get one Sigil that you can either use immediately or exfil to use at a later time. It's recommended to use it at a later time if you don't have at least Pack-a-Punch Level 3 Legendary weapons, since the enemies in the Dark Aether Rift are even more difficult than Red Zone enemies.
Sigils are used to open the Dark Aether Rift and access the new zone beyond it. It costs 1 Sigil to open the Dark Aether Rift's portal.
The Dark Aether Rift is a new zone where you'll find all new schematics and harder enemies.
