denotes a point where you can end the quest.
Travel to the Nellis Air Force Base to meet the Boomers. You will need to survive the shelling of the area by staying in cover and running at the appropriate time.
| How to Avoid Barrage | |
|---|---|
| 1 |  Run to the closest structure that can block their line of sight. This will cause them to aim randomly and completely miss you. |
| 2 |  As soon as the shelling stops, move forward and quickly find your next cover before the barrage restarts. |
| 3 |  Repeat until you reach the fence where they will not shoot at you. |
You need to have an Idolized Boomer reputation to gain the support of the faction. To accomplish this, complete the Volare! side quest that can be acquired from their leader Pearl when you arrive at the air base.
Return to Ambassador Crocker at the NCR Embassy to report that the Boomers are going to help.
If you killed the Boomers instead, you can report to Crocker that the Boomers are not going to help and the quest will fail. However, you can still receive the next quest, King's Gambit.
Visit Ambassador Crocker at the NCR Embassy on the southernmost side of The Strip. At the end of the hall from the door on the left at the reception.
