Summary Condition
NCR Ending
With the NCR's second victory at Hoover Dam, the NCR takes definitive control over the entire Mojave Wasteland. Soon after, they negotiated terms to annex The Strip, Freeside, and many surrounding communities.

The Courier, with the aid of Yes Man, drove both the Legion and the NCR from Hoover Dam. However, the Securitrons did not get upgraded so anarchy ruled the streets until New Vegas reinstated itself.

Mr. House Ending
Mr. House continued to run New Vegas his way with the help of an upgrade Securitron army, a despotic vision of pre-War glory. The streets were orderly, efficient, cold. New Vegas continued to be the sole place in the wasteland where fortunes were won and lost in the blink of an eye.

Caesar's Legion w/ Caesar Alive
Caesar entered The Strip as though it was his Triumph. The Legion pushed the NCR out of New Vegas entirely, driving them back to the Mojave Outpost. The Legion occupied all major locations, enslaving much of the population and peacefully lording over the rest. Under the Legion's banner, civilization - unforgiving as it was - finally came to the Mojave Wasteland.

Caesar's Legion w/ Caesar Dead
With Caesar dead, The Legate is crowned as the new Caesar. He entered The Strip as though it was a military target, destroying anyone who resisted him. Under the Legion's banner, civilization - savage as it was - finally came to the Mojave Wasteland.

The Courier

Summary Condition
Side with the NCR
The Courier was honored by the NCR for his/her support of the military at Hoover Dam. He/she was presented with the Golden Branch, the highest civilian decoration given by the Republic.

Summary Condition
Junkie Den
As a result of killing Julie Farkas and the Followers of the Apocalypse, the Old Mormon Fort is lost to local drug addicts and junkies.

Since the Followers of the Apocalypse refrain from coopering with the NCR, the NCR sees them as a threat. The Followers are then pushed out of the Old Mormon Fort in Freeside

Summary Condition
Put an End to the Khans
The Courier puts the nail in the coffin by killing the leaders of the Great Khans. Those few who avoided the Courier's wrath moved north, into the wilderness of Idaho, where they tried once more to rebuild.

NCR Hunts Down the Great Khans

Great Khans and the Followers of the Apocalypse Join Forces
The Great Khans left Red Rock Canyon after the battle of Hoover Dam, after which they reconnected with the Followers of the Apocalypse to help rebuild their strength. Bolstered by this alliance, they carved a mighty empire out of the ruins of the Northwest.

The Kings

Summary Condition
The Courier Finishes the Kings
With the King killed by the Courier, the Kings as a group dissolve and Freeside is relinquished from their grip.

Caesar's Legion Slaughters the Kings
Caught in the Legion's crusade in Freeside, the Kings were slaughted. The few survivors fled into the wastelands of Mojave.

The Kings Help with Relief Efforts

NCR Sweeps the Kings
During the Battle of Hoover Dam, some of the Kings took advantage and attacked NCR citizens and soldiers around Freeside. The NCR, after winning, responded by sweeping the Freeside with a platoon, killing most of the Kings.

The Kings Control Freeside
Even with NCR winning the battle of Hoover Dam, Freeside remains problematic and uncontrollable even with multiple attempts at occupation. With this, the Kings stay nominally in control of the Freeside.

The Kings Get Forcibly Removed
Accused of having lying with a foreign invader for their newfound ties to the NCR by Mr. House, the Kings are punished with forced removal. The Kings resisted but were met with a quick end by the Securitrons.

Mr. House Leaves the Kings Alone
Since the Kings attacked some NCR citizens and soldiers during the Battle of Hoover Dam, Mr. House favored the Kings' "loyalty". With that, the Kings are left to their devices in Freeside.

The Kings are Killed by Securitrons
Mr. House planned on increasing control over the general area of the Vegas Strip by subjugating Freeside. The Kings, whom fought valiantly, were no match for the armored killing machines, and were wiped out to the last man.

The Kings Protect Freeside
With the Kings protection, Freeside became known as one of the more stabler regions in the region. Despite the previous feud with NCR, NCR refugees found Freeside safer than most of the rest of New Vegas, where resentment still lingers.

The Misfits

Summary Condition
The Courier Wipes the Misfits
The Misfits are slain by the Courier without so much as a challenge, saving them the humiliation they will suffer from Caesar's Legion. Few mourned for their absence.

With the Courier's advice, the newly trained Misfits distinguished themselves during the Legion's attack on Camp Golf. Mags was finally promoted to Sergeant, and the rest of The Misfits received an official commendation, serving with distinction for years to come.

Punished for Laziness

Psycho Addicts
Due to the frenzy caused by consuming Psycho, the Misfits were able to inflict heavy casualties to the Legion during the defense of Camp Golf. Despite being lauded at first, chem addiction started to set in. The Misfits turned on travelers in Outer Vegas. For their dishonorable conduct, the NCR court-martialed and executed them by firing squad.

Powder Gangers

Summary Condition
The Courier Dispatches the Powder Gangers
Without Cooke to lead them in Vault 19, the Powder Gangers quickly fell apart. Those that were not killed by the Courier fled into the hills or attempted to reintegrate into the Mojave Wasteland.

Having amassed a wide array of improvised explosives and stolen weapons, the Vault 19 Powder Gang tormented the Mojave Wasteland and its citizens for years, especially NCR ones.

Summary Condition
The Courier Cripples the Rangers
By having the Courier murder Chief Hanlon, the Rangers are fractured and take years to rebuild.

Even with Chief Hanlon's sabotage, the Rangers persevered and distinguished themselves during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. Hanlon wisely stayed out of the spotlight, crediting General Oliver's leadership for NCR's success. Hanlon then peacefully retires to his ranch.

The Rangers Lose Reputation
Even if the Rangers performed admirably during NCR's defense of Hoover Dam, the rangers fell into decline soon after due to Chief Hanlon's sabotage being exposed. Many rangers were greeted coldly on their return home and public and political support for the organization quickly dwindled.

Chief Hanlon Retires with Honor
With the Courier's intervention, Chief Hanlon abandoned his plan to sabotage the defense of Hoover Dam. As expected, the Rangers fought admirably, and General Oliver and Chief Hanlon were both praised for their leadership. After some fanfare about lifelong accomplishments, Hanlon peacefully retires to his ranch.

Hanlon Becomes Senator of Redding
With the Courier's intervention, the Ranger's victory was short-lived and was forced to evacuate by Hanlon's direction. Growing bitter about the waste of life in Mojave, he stepped down from his post and held a campaign against imperialist ways. Hanlon wins the campaign and is elected senator of Redding.

Hanlon Evades the Blame
With the Courier's intervention, Chief Hanlon abandoned his plan to sabotage the defense of Hoover Dam. Though the Courier snatched victory from NCR, only General Oliver was blamed for the loss of Hoover Dam. Hanlon, exhausted, steps down from his position and peacefully retires to his ranch.

The Rangers Die in Battle
During the attack on Hoover Dam, Chief Hanlon and his rangers threw themselves into the path of the Legion assault, dying in the process. Hanlon and his fallen rangers were revered for their bravery and sacrifice. However, citizens and senators denounced President Kimball and General Oliver.

Hanlon Stirs Doubt
Since the Legion won, Chief Hanlon's reasonings were provided a small measure of vindication. While most saw him as a traitor, many believed he was the only military commander who saw the futility in defending New Vegas.

Caesar Beheads Chief Hanlon
With the Legion's forces winning, most NCR military officers fled the territory soon after the dam was lost. However, Chief Hanlon stays in Camp Golf for his surrender. Out of respect for Hanlon's composure and worth as an adversary, Caesar had him beheaded.

Enclave Remnants

Summary Condition
The Courier Snuffed Out The Enclave
The Enclave Remnants proved no match to the Courier. The aging Enclave Remnants are wiped from the Mojave Wasteland.

After supporting the NCR during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam, the Enclave Remnants disappeared and were never heard from again. Rumors about them spread, a grim reminder of the sight of vertibirds in the sky.

Summary Condition
The Boomers Lose Leadership
The Courier having killed the leaders of the Boomers, they slowly drifted away, leaving Nellis Air Force Base to be flooded by prospectors and scavengers. Years of knowledge and experience slowly faded away from history.

Summary Condition
Bury the Brotherhood of Steel
The Courier buries the Mojave chapter of the BoS in rubble. The remaining members that were outside settled into new lives while others headed west to find a new chapter to join.

Fallout New Vegas - Best Ending

While the topic remains subjective, the best ending of Fallout New Vegas lies in having the NCR winning the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. With the NCR's victory, most factions were well off. The factions prospered, were safe, and still had agency under NCR's rule, suffering only minor casualties. Overall, The NCR maintains order without totalitarianism.

Furthermore, the NCR is not an individual's political paradigm. The NCR is a diplomatic movement not born out of charisma (Caesar) and money (Mr. House) but of a single purpose to unite the Wasteland.

There is still an argument about having an independent Vegas, but the overall loss of life and chaos enacted in an independent Vegas is not a small matter. Without authority, anarchy is suppressed only by a few factions with already sufficient roots.
