Taking the top spot of the best SMGs is Vance's 9mm Submachine Gun. This unique variant of the 9mm SMG has better stats and all the available mods of its regular variant, one of the best iron sights in the game, and the easily sustainable and customizable 9mm ammunition.

The 12.7mm Submachine Gun, which uses 12.7mm ammo, sports the highest DPS out of the SMGs and is accurate for its weapon type. However, the downside is that it can only have 21 ammo in its magazine and lacks variety in ammo customization.
Furthermore, it requires 100 points in the Guns skill, making it a more specialized weapon.

If you prefer a stealthier approach to making your enemies Swiss cheese, the Silenced .22 SMG is for you! This SMG sports the highest critical multipliers and the only SMG with a silencer in the base game, but is held back by its ammo type being very niche in application.
