How to Increase Lockpick Skill

Use a Skill Magazine or a Skill Book

Temporary Permanently
Locksmith's Reader
(Skill Magazine)		 Tumblers Today
(Skill Book)

You can increase your Lockpick skill using Skill Magazines and Skill Books. Skill Magazines can temporarily increase your Lockpick skill while a Skill Book can increase it permanently.

We recommend grabbing the skill book for Lockpick to increase this skill for good.

Skill Books Map Locations and Guide

Use a Console Command

Format player.setav Lockpick [your desired level]
Example player.setav Lockpick 100

You can also increase your Lockpick skill using a console command. Follow the format above and add your desired level at the end of the command without the [ ] symbol.

What Does Lockpick Do?

Lets You Pick Difficult Locks

Lockpick Skill Difficulty
0 Very Easy
25 Easy
50 Average
75 Hard
100 Very Hard

As the skill suggests, having higher points in Lockpick will allow you to pick locks of varying difficulties. The rewards depend on the lock difficulty, where Very Hard locks will bar you from unique loot!
