This is a walkthrough of the Cold, Cold Heart side quest in Fallout New Vegas (FNV). Read on to learn how to unlock Cold, Cold Heart, where to find Vulpes Inculta, the quest rewards, and the best dialogue choices for completing the Cold, Cold Heart side quest.
You can start the Cold, Cold Heart quest simply by approaching Nipton Hall, where Vulpes Inculta will engage you in a conversation, starting the quest immediately.

Go to Nipton and approach Nipton Hall to talk to Vulpes Inculta. He will tell you how the Legion took over Nipton and ask you to spread the word of their atrocities.
After learning about what happened in Nipton, head southwest to the Mojave Outpost and speak with Sgt. Kilborn. Here, you will have the choice to either warn them about what the Legion did to the Powder Gangers or spread terror by killing Sgt. Kilborn to gain Fame with Caesar's Legion. Either option will end the quest and reward you with 150 XP.
The choice you make here will depend on which faction you want to join. If you plan to side with the NCR faction, it is recommended that you do not kill Sgt. Kilborn to avoid gaining Infamy with them. However, if you plan on joining the Legion faction, you can kill Sgt. Kilborn to gain Fame with the Legion.
