After completing each objective, you have the option to negotiate for additional Bottle Cap rewards in exchange for the eggs, provided you have sufficient Skill Points in Barter.
You can find the Mantis Eggs on the third level of Vault 22. However, the cave part of the third level in Vault 22 can only be accessed by using the Vault 22 Cave Door Key Card or by repairing the elevator, which requires 50 Skill Points in Repair.
Vault 22 Cave Door Key Card Location | |
---|---|
There are two different ways to access the cave section of Vault 22 where you can obtain the Mantis Eggs. The first method is by opening the cave door on the third level using the Vault 22 Cave Door Key Card, which you can find in the first room to your left inside the quarters on the fourth level.
Vault 22 Elevator Location | |
---|---|
The other way to access the cave section is by repairing the elevator, which requires 50 skill points in Repair. You can then use the elevator to descend to the fifth level and take the stairs to reach the third level cave section, providing a shortcut.
You can collect the Radscorpion Eggs by heading northeast from the Goodsprings Cemetery. You can find the eggs surrounded by Giant Radscorpions at the foot of the hill before reaching the Great Khan Encampment.
From Clark Field, head southeast until you find a small cave called Bootjack Cavern. Enter the cave and take the path to your right until you reach a small room where you can find the Fire Gecko Eggs.
Beware, as this cave is swarming with Fire Geckos ready to attack. Make sure that you are fully prepared before attempting this objective.
You can obtain the Night Stalker Eggs from the Bloodborne Cave, located by heading straight east from the Brotherhood of Steel Safehouse. Upon entering the cave, you will encounter a few Night Stalkers, including one Legendary Night Stalker that is significantly larger and stronger than the others.
It is recommended that you eliminate them from a distance using your powerful weapons to avoid risking your life.
Bloodborne Cave Location | |
---|---|
This cave can be easily missed, as there are no roads leading to it. Rely on your compass and ensure that you are heading directly east to find the location of the cave.
The location of the Cazador Eggs is directly west of Red Rock Canyon. However, due to the layout of the mountains, it is easier to trek from the Remnants Bunker by heading southwest. This route allows for easier traversal of the mountains while dealing with the Cazadors encountered along the way.
For the final egg request from Red Lucy, you have two options for hunting the Deathclaw Eggs. You can either go to the Quarry Junction, where you'll encounter Deathclaws in a large open area, or venture into the Dead Wind Cavern, where you'll face them in a narrow, maze-like cave. In either case, you need to be fully prepared, as Deathclaws are among the toughest enemies in the base game.
Deathclaw Egg Location in Quarry Junction | |
---|---|
Due to the large open area in the Quarry Junction, this location is the better spot to track down the Deathclaw Eggs, as you can easily kite the Deathclaws and isolate the fights to pick them off one by one. Additionally, you can attempt to sneak your way in and retrieve the Deathclaw Eggs without being spotted by the enemies in the area.
Deathclaw Egg Location in Dead Wind Cavern | |
---|---|
It is impossible not to engage the Deathclaws in the Dead Wind Cavern due to its narrow space. If you choose to retrieve the eggs from this location, you need to be fully prepared to confront the Deathclaws head-on. As an additional reward, you can also obtain a unique weapon called Mercy in this cavern. You can find it beside the corpse of a soldier in the room where you will encounter the Legendary Deathclaw.
After giving Red Lucy all of the required eggs, you can talk to her again. She will then ask you to follow her to a private room where you can spend the night together.
It is recommended to have at least 90 Skill Points in Barter to maximize the rewards received from Red Lucy each time you complete an objective, as this side quest is one of the most challenging to complete.
Additionally, when deciding how to obtain the Deathclaw Eggs, it is best to take the Quarry Junction route. You can attempt to sneak in using a Stealth Boy and retrieve the eggs without confronting the Deathclaws if you are not highly proficient in combat.
