How to Unlock Young Hearts

Unlock Volare! Side Quest and Talk to Jack

Young Hearts is one of the side quests associated with and unlocked through the Volare! side quest. After talking with Pearl, follow the quest markers in your compass to look for Jack within the Nellis Air Force Base and talk to him.

The Volare side quest can be unlocked by visiting the Nellis Air Force Base.

Have the Required Perk or 35 Speech

To unlock the Young Hearts quest, you need to either have the Black Widow or Confirmed Gentleman Perk, or you need to pass a 35 Speech Skill check from Jack.

If you have none of these, you can still do other tasks around the Air Force Base to be Idolized by the Boomers.

Travel to Crimson Caravan and Talk to Janet

Fallout New Vegas - Janet

Tell Janet that you'll ask Pearl to make an exception and let her in. Do not lie to her as she will die in the shellings on the way to the base, you'll fail the quest, and lose karma.

Convince Pearl to Let Janet In

Fallout New Vegas - Convince Pearl About Janet

To convince Pearl, you will need to have the Lady Killer Perk, be Idolized by the boomers, or pass the 35 Speech skill check.

Get Boomer Outfit From Jack

Return to Jack and tell him the good news about Janet and Pearl. He will provide you with a Boomer outfit to give to Janet to keep her safe on her way to the air base.

Give Janet the Outfit

Travel back to the Crimson Caravan to give Janet the good news and the Boomer outfit. She will tell you of a problem that needs to be taken care of before she leaves.

Talk to Alice and Decide How to Proceed

Take the Deal	-

Regardless of how you choose to respond to or deal with Alice, Janet will still agree to travel to the air base. You get the best result if you succeed in any of the skill checks as Janet will be ecstatic about getting her money, and you will receive additional Boomer Fame.

Return to Janet Then Jack

Meet Janet Back in Nellis

Inform Janet of the result of your interaction with Alice and travel back to Nellis. Use the wait function (press T on your keyboard) to fast forward time an hour to have Janet arrive at the base sooner. Interact with Jack once they are together to complete the quest.
