Lily is a Nightkin living in Jacobstown along with other super mutants. She can tank enemies head-on without any problems with the use of her Vertibird Blade, but she is fairly decent with a ranged weapon as well if needed.
You can find Lily by going to Jacobstown. Jacobstown is a secluded settlement found on the northwest side of the map. Look to the left side of the main building and you will find her inside of a pen, tending to a herd of bighorners.
Lily can be recruited during the Guess Who I Saw Today quest. In order to begin, talk to Doctor Henry inside of the lodge. Tell him that you would like to help with his Nightstalker investigation and you will get the option to bring Lily with you to the Charleston Cave up north.
Lily's companion quest can be activated if you make her suffer a psychotic break. This can be done if you lower her HP through combat. From there, she will talk about how she often skips on her medication. She will also mention the name Leo, a voice she hears inside of her head, which you can ask about further through dialogue.
Doing this quest will give you the option to either convince her to keep taking her medication and put her mind at ease, take her medication at half doses, or forego her medication completely and let the schizoprenia consume her at the end of the game.
You will be able to prolong the use of Stealth Boys along with having an additional 10% damage to your Critical Hits while travelling with Lily. This only increases the critical damage you deal, not the actual critical chance.
Get the best ending for Lily by telling her to take her medication in full doses regularly. You can achieve that through dialogue options at the end of her companion quest.
This choice will end her psychotic breaks and silence Leo completely at the cost of losing the memories of her grandchildren.
