How to Get Aether Blade Schematic

The Aether Blade Schematic can be obtained by completing contracts inside the Elder Dark Aether in MW3 Zombies. Follow the steps below to get the Aether Blade Schematic for your account:

1. Get a Sigil and Enter the Dark Aether Rift
2. Obtain an Elder Sigil in the Dark Aether
3. Use Elder Sigils to Enter the Elder Dark Aether
4. Complete Contracts in the Elder Dark Aether

Get a Sigil and Enter the Dark Aether Rift

Before you can get the Aether Blade Schematic, you'll first need to do a few farming runs in the Dark Aether. To enter this new and difficult area, complete contracts in the Red Zone since the Reward Rifts here have a chance to give you Sigils.

Once you have a few Sigils in your possession, bring this to the Dark Aether Rift (small island south of the Red Zone) and use it to open a portal to the Dark Aether.

How to Get Sigils

Obtain an Elder Sigil in the Dark Aether

After you arrive at the Dark Aether map, explore the area and look for Contracts you can accept. Complete them for a chance to get an Elder Sigil.

Much like Sigils, Elder Sigils are not a guaranteed drop. Since you will only have a max of 3 contracts in the area, it is recommended that you run with a group when visiting the Dark Aether as it increases your chances to get an Elder Sigil.

How to Get Elder Sigils

Use Elder Sigils to Enter the Elder Dark Aether

With an Elder Sigil in your inventory, head to the side of the Dark Aether Rift facing north. This should be the side opposite of where you use regular Sigils.

Before placing the Elder Sigil, make sure you're on the correct side of the Dark Aether Rift and that the prompt is asking you to use an Elder Sigil. Once you've double-checked, place the Elder Sigil to open a portal to the Elder Dark Aether.

How to Enter Dark Aether Rift

Complete Contracts in the Elder Dark Aether

You can obtain the Aether Blade Schematic by completing Contracts in the Elder Dark Aether. However, unlike its regular counterpart, you only have 15 minutes to complete the 3 contracts scattered around the map.

Additionally, the Aether Blade Schematic is not guaranteed to drop from Reward Rifts. You may need to visit the Elder Dark Aether multiple times and farm its contracts to get one.

How to Use Aether Blade Schematic

Exfil With the Schematic

If you successfully Exfil with the Aether Blade Schematic, it will be consumed instantly, granting you access to the Aether Blade in the Schematic Crafting screen under the Classified tab. This enables you to craft an Aether Blade, which you can equip for your next Zombies game.

Note: To Exfil from the Dark Aether, you must find an Exfil Portal located under the central fortress or on the fortress' rooftop.

48-Hour Cooldown After Crafting

Crafting an Aether Blade has a two-day (48 hour) cooldown. Unlike insured weapons, you cannot reduce the cooldown time of Schematic Crafting, and you have to wait for the full duration before being able to craft it again.
