Operation 627 is a campaign mission in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3). Read on for a complete walkthrough of Operation 627 including tips for beating the mission and rewards.

| 1 |  Approach the side of prison walls and press X to 'Brace' yourself on it. |

| 2 |  Fire the Line Launcher when prompted to release a grappling hook that will be attached on top of the walls. |
| 3 |  After ascending to the top, turn your Night Vision Goggles on by pressing the down directional button and follow your teammates past the small guard post. |
| 4 |  There will be two enemy soldiers up ahead. Shoot one of the two guards while one of your teammates will take care of the other one. |
| 5 |  Follow your team down the stairs until you reach the courtyard filled with several hostiles. Wait for your squad leader's signal before shooting at them. |
| 6 |  Proceed through the courtyard and open the hatch. You and your team will automatically climb down the ladder. |
| 7 | Go inside the sewage drainage and open the gate. Once inside, toggle your Night Vision Goggles on as the lights will shutdown upon entering. |
| 8 |  Rappel yourself down while clearing each cell block of enemy security personnel. Be sure not to shoot at the prisoners! |
| 9 | Move through each section on the bottom floor while eliminating hostiles that you'll encounter along the way. You can remove your Night Vision Goggles as you won't need it anymore. |
| 10 |  Approach the cell door and Breach when prompted to destroy it. You'll find Prisoner 627 which is none other than Makarov himself. |
| 11 |  Follow Makarov out of his prison cell. You'll then come across an armory filled with several weapons. It's recommended that you pick up the shotgun as the next section will be filled with close-quarters combat. ▶︎ Who Holds Power in This Gulag? Choice Guide |
| 12 | Open the elevator's gate and enter it. While riding down, Makarov will question you on 'who holds the most power'. You can pick any of the dialogue choices as there won't be any other outcomes. |
| 13 |  Fight through the courtyard again until you reach the prison's main gates. Make sure not to go to near as an enemy chopper will fire rockets at it. Follow Makarov through the door on the side which will lead you outside. |
| 14 |  Once outside, keep following the trail while ignoring enemy fire from behind. You'll then slide down and jump off the cliff into the water where the escape boats will be waiting for you and your team. |
