Rare Aether Tools are obtained by completing contracts, destroying harvester orbs, and crafting it through schematics in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Zombies mode. Read on to learn how to get Rare Aether Tools!
How to Get Rare Aether Tool

Contracts in Low Threat Zone
Rare Aether Tools can be obtained by completing Contracts in the Low Threat Zone. These are fairly common rewards from the Reward Rift, so you should be able to get one within completing a few contracts.
Dropped by Harvester Orbs
Destroying Harvester Orbs will always drop Aether Tools, but the chances are split between Uncommon and Rare rarities. These orbs are frequently found hovering near the borders of the Low and Medium Threat Zones, usually on the south and southeast side of map.

Crafting Schematics
You can also obtain the Rare Aether Tool by crafting it once you have the Schematics unlocked. A Rare Aether Tool Schematic can be obtained by completing the Tier 1 mission, Exterminator, in Act 2.
Take note that crafting a Rare Aether Tool will commence an 8-hour cooldown before you can craft another one.

Completion of the Minelayer and Chaperone Missions
A free Rare Aether Tool is available as a reward upon completion of the Minelayer (Act 1, Tier 3) and Chaperone (Act 1, Tier 6) missions.

What are Rare Aether Tools?
Upgrades Weapon Rarity to Rare
Consuming a Rare Aether Tool will upgrade your weapon's rarity to Rare, granting additional bonus damage for it.
This is particularly useful before going into Medium and High Threat Zones as you can deal more damage to tougher zombies.
