While radiation poisoning hinders your SPECIAL stats, the bright side of not having to rely on items for healing is exceptional. It is recommended to maintain 400-600 radiation to heal 4-6 HP/s without fully hindering yourself.
Overall, Rad Child is a high-risk, high-reward perk that is relatively strong even in Hardcore mode. Look to prioritize getting this perk if other Level 4 perks do not help your build!
