How to Get Golden Armor Plate Schematics

The Golden Armor Plate Schematic can be obtained by completing contracts inside the Elder Dark Aether in MW3 Zombies. Follow the steps below to get the Golden Armor Plate Schematic for your account:

1. Get a Sigil and Enter the Dark Aether Rift
2. Obtain an Elder Sigil in the Dark Aether
3. Use Elder Sigils to Enter the Elder Dark Aether
4. Complete Contracts in the Elder Dark Aether

Get a Sigil and Enter the Dark Aether Rift

To get a Golden Armor Plate Schematic, you will have to complete contracts in the Dark Aether. You can enter this new difficult Zombies zone by doing contracts in the High Threat Zone (Red Zone) of Urzikstan to possibly obtain a Sigil from the Reward Rifts.

Once you've obtained a Sigil, proceed to the Dark Aether Rift located on a small island south of the Red Zone and use it on the portal to open the Dark Aether.

Obtain an Elder Sigil in the Dark Aether

Upon being transported to the Dark Aether, look for Contracts that you can accept and complete them for a chance to get an Elder Sigil. Keep in mind that Elder Sigils are not a guaranteed drop from these contracts.

In addition, there are only a maximum of 3 contracts in the Dark Aether, so we recommend that you run with a squad as it increases your chances to get an Elder Sigil.

Use Elder Sigils to Enter the Elder Dark Aether

With the Elder Sigil in your inventory, go to the side of the Dark Aether Rift facing north (the opposite side of where you use regular Sigils). You can double check if you're on the correct side if you see the prompt to use an Elder Sigil.

Once confirmed, place the Elder Sigil to open a portal leading to the Elder Dark Aether.

Complete Contracts in the Elder Dark Aether

You can obtain the Golden Armor Plate Schematic by completing Contracts in the Elder Dark Aether. Unlike its regular counterpart, you only have 15 minutes to complete the 3 contracts scattered around the map

To add to this, the Golden Armor Plate Schematic is not guaranteed to drop from Reward Rifts and you may need to visit the Elder Dark Aether multiple times to farm contracts until you manage to get one.

How to Use Golden Armor Plate Schematics

Exfil With the Schematics

If you successfully Exfil with the Golden Armor Plate Schematics, it will be consumed instantly, granting you access to the Golden Armor Plate in the Schematic Crafting screen under the Classified tab. This enables you to craft a Golden Armor Plate, which you can bring into your next Zombies game.

Note: To Exfil from the Dark Aether, you must find an Exfil portal located under the central fortress or on the fortress' rooftop.

48-Hour Cooldown After Crafting

Crafting a Golden Armor Plate has a two-day (48 hour) cooldown. Unlike insured weapons, you cannot reduce the cooldown time of Schematic Crafting, and you have to wait for the full duration before being able to craft it again.

Repairs Armor Plates Over Time

Using the Golden Armor Plate in a Zombies match replaces your current Armor Carrier with Golden Armor Plates that automatically fill up and repair themselves over time.

This is a fantastic upgrade and removes the need to constantly hunt for Armor Plates and replace them manually when they've broken.

Still Need To Upgrade Your Armor Vest

The amount of armor plates you have is still dependent on the current Armor Vest you're equipped with. This means that you can still have 1 Armor slot even with the Golden Armor Plate.

Purchase a 3-Plate Armor Vest from Buy Stations or get a chance to obtain them from Mercenary Camps.
