You can get an Epic Aether Tool as a potential reward from completing Contracts in the Medium Threat Zone. From our initial testing, the Epic Aether Tool appears to have a low drop rate in the Medium Threat zone. We recommend stocking up on armor plates as well as Pack-a-Punching your weapons to swiftly complete these contracts in the medium tier difficulty zone.
You can craft a free Epic Aether Tool via the Epic Aether Tool Plans schematic. Do note that these have an 8-hour cooldown each time you craft an Epic Aether Tool.
You can obtain the Epic Aether Tool Plans in the Contract Reward Rifts in the High Threat Zone (Red Zone).
How to Get All Crafting Schematics
An Epic Aether Tool can be obtained for free as a reward from completing the Guardian Angel (Act 2 Tier 2) and Firestarter (Act 3 Tier 2) story missions.
Zombies Acts and Mission Rewards
Consuming an Epic Aether Tool will upgrade your weapon's rarity to Epic, granting a huge bonus additional damage to it.
This might be worth using up before entering the High Threat Zone as the zombies are a lot more difficult to deal with and Special Zombies will frequently spawn around here.
