Dr. Jansen's coordinates will automatically be marked on your map in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) Zombies Mode. Read on to learn how to deploy to Dr. Jansen's coordinates and complete the Extraction mission.

How to Deploy to Dr. Jansen's Coordinates

Move to the Exfil with A Star Icon

Dr. Jansen's coordinates won't appear on the map right away after dropping into Urzikstan. Wait around a minute then Dr. Jansen's coordinates will appear on the map as an exfil icon with a star.

This is an exfil location wherein you and your squad will be taken onto a different map to get to Dr. Jansen. Note that this location will only appear after completing the Where's Dr. Jansen mission.

Take Time to Prepare Before Exfil

When you exfil to Dr. Jansen's coordinates, you'll be brought to a different map with no option to buy or upgrade weapons and items. It's recommended to take your time to prepare for this deployment during the 45 minutes you have in Urzikstan.

You keep all the perks, weapons, and other power-ups you collect during the match when you deploy to the new location.

Gather Better Weapons

This is the utmost priority before proceeding to Dr. Jansen's coordinates. Try to at least get Rare rarity or Pack-a-Punch upgraded weapons. You can obtain higher rarity weapons via loot caches or Wallbuys found across the map.

You can also try your luck with Mystery Boxes, which have a good chance of dropping Legendary weapons if you gamble with about 10 minutes left in the game's timer.

Stack Up on Perks

Do not focus mainly on improving your loadout, as your character's perks are just as important. Travel to different Perk-a-Cola Machines to gain different perks. Ideally, you should at least have Jugger-Nog, Deadshot Daquiri, and Speed Cola.

Obtain a Zombie Pet Dog

Getting a Zombie Pet Dog is one of the best things to do before exfil. This awesome Pet Dog will taunt and attack enemies for you, as well as revive you when you're down!

To get one, simply obtain a Chunk of Flesh and offer it at a Doghouse. Your Pet Dog will then follow you even on the next map.

Acquire Defensive and Utility Items

It is also advisable to bring useful items such as Ammo Mods, Ammo Circuit Boards, Cymbal Monkey, LT53 Kazimir, and other impactful grenades. You'll be grateful that you have these items in your rucksack when you start to get surrounded by enemies during the mission.

Aside from these consumables, also aim to get atleast a 2-Plate Armor Vest, which will greatly increase your overall survival. You don't need to worry about Armor Plates as they will be restocked upon exfil.

Join Up a Squad

Taking on this mission with a squad will make progress a lot smoother and faster. You can also cover more ground and direction with more people. You can choose to join a squad before loading into Operation Deadbolt or request people to join you once you're there.

Have Squad Members Cover Dr. Jansen

The best thing about having squad members is that you can cover more ground when clearing or defending an area. Make sure that you have good positions and are covering all possible directions, especially during the parts where Dr. Jansen is stationary.

Exfil Dr. Jansen Bug

Bug Fix Released

Players who are eligible for a Story Mission but do not participate in the Story Mission Exfil are automatically queued into the story if a different squad initiates it.

This bug has been fixed as of November 20, 2023 as confirmed in the official Modern Warfare 3 Trello Board. Players should no longer experience any interruption when another squad triggers the mission.
