Assault Kills are kills against enemies who are defending objectives in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (BO6). See what Assault Kills are, how to get Assault Kills, and if you can get Assault Kills in Private Matches.

What are Assault Kills?

Kills Against Enemies Who are Defending Objectives

Assault Kills can be obtained by killing enemies who are defending objectives that are already captured. Kills on the objective while the icon is not red will not count as Assault Kills.

Take note that you cannot get Assault Kills in Hardcore modes!

How to Get Assault Kills

Play Hard Point Game Mode

The best game mode for getting Assault Kills is Hardpoint because capture points constantly shift between teams. This gives you plenty of opportunities to score Assault Kills.

Other objective game modes like Domination and Control also work but you'll get less Assault Kills because of the slower pace.

Wait for the Objective Icon to Turn Red

Before heading to the objectives, make sure to let enemies get the capture points first. Once the objective icon is red, you can proceed to look for gun fights near the capture point.

Use Equipment to Push Objectives

Try to use equipment such as Stun Grenades or Frag Grenades to make it easier to enter objectives and score kills.

Can You Get Assault Kills in Private Matches?

Challenges Do Not Progress in Private Matches

Assault Kills only count in Multiplayer matches against other players. You won't be able to progress any of your Challenges in private or custom matches.
