Frag Grenades can be cooked to alter the delay before it explodes in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 (BO6). See how to cook grenades, the differences between cooking times, and if cooking works on Tactical Equipment.
List of Contents
Cooking a grenade involves pulling the pin of a Frag Grenade and holding it for a few seconds before tossing it. Delaying when you throw the grenade shortens the time it explodes, giving your enemies less time to react and return it.
Tactical equipment cannot be cooked as they are mostly used for utility. Grenades like the Flashbang have a fixed time before detonation when thrown.
You will want to practice the pacing of cooking your grenades. The longer you cook a grenade, the shorter the time until it explodes. This also means you can accidentally explode yourself if you are not careful.
There is no ideal cooking time for grenades as it depends on the distance of the target and situation. Sometimes you'll want a longer delay to bank a grenade, other times you'll want it to explode with minimal delay.
